I’ve had a lot of distractions over the last week. My eldest broke her elbow during the week which hasn’t left me with much time for anything. As such, this week’s blog will be short and probably a bit of everything.
One thing I have managed during the week (because I started this a few weeks ago) is the paperback release of Have Shovel – Will Bury. The proof copy arrived in the mail during the week and now I’ve reviewed it I’ve made it live on Amazon. Yay!
Where I’ve found a few minutes during the day, I’ve also been working on my dystopian young adult story. It’s clocking in at 22,500 words at the moment and I’ve still got a couple of chapters to go.
I had a brainwave earlier in the week where I’ve changed the destiny of a character which has expanded the story slightly. I’m happy with the progress I’m making on it, and hope to finish the first draft in the next few weeks.
Then there’s the retelling of The Time Machine I’ve been neglecting. It really just needs editing to finish it off and it’ll be ready. I want to get back to finishing it off, but my young adult one keeps calling to me.
I’ve designed a cover for it though (below), and titled it “Sanctuary”, so keep an eye out for more on this one. Perhaps I’ll bite the bullet and finish this one off, then at least I can work on my other without feeling guilty about neglecting this one.
That’s all for this week!
