Today I hit the “Publish” button on Amazon’s KDP site and launched Biggy Piggy into the world. Around six hours later I received notification that Amazon had finished publishing it to all of their various regional sites so it’s official! It’s the first book of any kind that I’ve ever published to the outside world (not counting training manuals and other materials I’ve made during my day job).
Biggy Piggy is a children’s book about the adventures of a magic pig called Biggy Piggy. He’s can talk to every kind of animal, he can fly, he can grow really big and shrink down really small!
It’s the first of what I hope to be a series of Biggy Piggy books. I’ve got plenty of characters drawn, I just need to find time to put them into stories. I’ve all but finished the first science fiction short story I’ll be publishing – Storm View. The final piece of the puzzle is settling on a cover design I like.
After that I’ve got two other short stories on the go which I’m flip-flopping between as the mood strikes me. The first is a light-hearted science fiction adventure which is a type of story I’ve wanted to write ever since I first read The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. The second is about an anti-hero serial killer. Not the kind of thing to write about in a post about whimsical farm animals though.
Biggy Piggy is available as an eBook from Amazon.
